Dear Selecting Officer:
If you have an opportunity to get Leah MacVie on your team, you have a chance of a lifetime to hire a true go-getter who will go above and beyond to get the job done! I have known Leah for almost 2 years while she has served as Instructional Technologist at Bryant and Stratton Online College. She has been instrumental in spearheading the implementation of transferring over our college from one delivery format to Angel. This was quite a process entailing transferring over classes to a new medium and creating systems to mange new classes while training students and instructors. Her ability to organize and develop content under the pressure of tight deadlines has been inspiring to witness.
Leah is the perfect combination of technical expertise, innovation, and service and these qualities combine with her keen ability to communicate and establish rapport. I have seen her adapt her communication to connect with the technically-savvy to those who are non-technical. Leah is quick to respond and always willing to help. Her ability to network and find resources to solve unexpected problems has astounded me time and time again. Her work ethic is rare and she does what it takes to exceed expectations, even when dealing with short timeframes. Her attitude exemplifies authentic caring for her work and those who she serves. She has contacted me on several occasions outside of working hours to offer assistance. This genuine desire to help is one of the things that makes Leah so special!
I have witnessed her creativity and ability to teach. She has been masterful in creating presentations and equipping me as an instructor with new technology to empower my online teaching. I am a better teacher today because of Leah MacVie. If you have a chance to bring her to your team, you will not regret it! If I give you further information about Leah, please feel free to contact me.
Best Regards,
Cindy Rippé, M.B.A.
