EDC590 Independent Study: Web-Conferencing
This independent study was a hands-on course involving myself, my peer, Heather Natale, and our instructor, John Thompson, Ed. D. Heather and I would test a selected piece of software, and would present it to our instructor later in the week. Throughout the Summer, we tested over 7 free Web-conferencing tools. The three of us never met in person, and all of our communication was done via Skype before we would jump into the different software being tested. We documented our experience and tribulations along the way. Our final product was a reflective paper and a chart reflecting each tool’s abilities and quirks.

EDC590 Independent Study: Teacher’s without Borders Volunteer Project
I set out to tackle a very large volunteer project for Teachers without Borders. The process of completing my outcomes did not come without setbacks and tribulations. My completed project included 5 well-developed courses for their OpenCourseWare, 5 video tutorials for developing courses using the OpenCourseWare and 3 suggested collaboration projects for teachers. I had to make and maintain relationships with individuals within the organization.
